But some themes scare me, like when the prefects notice you or when you sneak at night.Īll in all, I hope my PS2 won't get broken and that I can play the HP2 games I love as often as I would like to. Soule really captured the magic of Hogwarts and its beautiful atmosphere well. What I love about all these 3 games the most is the music. The graphics are very good, despite being so old now.
A HUGE plus is that you play through the different seasons (autumn, winter and spring/summer). I don't understand why Ron isn't allowed to fly with Buckbeak but I enjoy it anway. Like, come on, I want to explore Hogwarts, the clock ain't ticking in the games. I think it's a great idea to switch between Harry, Ron and Hermione but when you can finish the day and walk around two of them always come up with stupid phrases which are annoying in the long term. It's a darker HP game but it still follows the gameplay of the first 2 HP PS2 games. The sneaking at night is easy, except for the library where Filch is also patrolling.Īnd finally, my first ever HP game for PS2, Prisoner of Azkaban. But you can fly around Hogwarts at night, at least. The final battle was meh, I like the final battle of COS more. I like that there are no ghosts at the spell challenges and at midnight plus the loading screens are so rare to encounter. Oh and potions class is even more annoying, collecting the ingredients is a waste of time, IMO. Anyway, the spell challenges are too long and collecting those shields to receive more house points is annoying. It was made after COS but due to the stiffness of the characters it looks like it was made before COS. Since you encounter more sneaking at night, this game might be a bit harder than the other HP PS2 games. And you can't fly around Hogwarts at night. But the loading screens are too long, unfortunately. I think COS is the best HP PS2 game because the spell challenges are not that long and you actually need to be careful while sneaking around at midnight or else you will get caught and therefore loose house points. Tbh, they're my fav PS2 games (Philosophers Stone, Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban).
